On Saturday, Oct. 4 from 3-4:30 p.m., join Artemis Eyster for a program titled “Survival Skills You Can Use” at the Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center, 17039 Bush Road in Sylvan Township.
Could you survive a night on your own in the woods? Eyster will teach you how to make a shelter and a bed, build a fire, make your own string, and most importantly, avoid getting lost.
This hands-on program is geared for those age 10 years old and older, and will teach you skills you can use for a lifetime.
The cost is $2 per person or $5 for a family.
Advance registration requested at 475-3170, and the program is limited to 25 people.
This program is sponsored by the Waterloo Natural History Association.
