The Chelsea Field Hockey (CFH) team competes against Ann Arbor Skyline for the first time this season on Friday, Oct. 9, at 5 p.m. at the Chelsea High School stadium.

This game will prove to be exciting as both teams are tied for first place in Division 1. The two teams are closely matched in skill, speed and passion. The action on the field is guaranteed to be fast.

The game is also notable because CFH is honoring eleven seniors for their hard work and dedication that each has contributed to this team – many for the past several years.

The seniors include Rose Barelds, Kelly Bertoni, Maggie Cole, Meghan Cole, Anna Collins, Caroline Lane, Margaret Lane, Sarah Mesko, Jessi Olmstead, Teddi Reynolds and Gabby Wink. Four of the seniors are already committed to playing at Division 1 colleges next year, which shows the high level of play that you will witness on the field on Friday. These athletes include Maggie Cole, Meghan Cole, Sarah Mesko and Gabby Wink.

“I love watching the energy and flow of the Chelsea Field Hockey team,” says Coach Leslie Fry. “The team has worked hard at developing a fast offensive game. They have worked diligently at developing their on-field communication skills and speed of passing. It’s exciting that what we have worked at all season is gelling so nicely at this point of the season.”

Skyline has a season record of nine wins, no losses, and one tie. CFH has 10 wins, no losses and one tie. This is a must-see game. Come out and cheer on these athletes.
