Old Chelsea Post Office to Become Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry

By Lisa Carolin

Chelsea’s former post office will soon be reborn as a dental office. Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry expects to be moving into the space at 200 South Main St. this fall.

“Dr. Ray Maturo heard the property was available,” said Dr. Aimee Picard, a partner in the business who works with Maturo and Dr. Kristing Auer. “It’s a historical building we really like and would like to see it back to its former beauty for the community to enjoy.”

Picard explained that they have many patients who come to their Ann Arbor office (2074 S. Main St.) who live in the Chelsea area, which is why they decided to open a second office.

Pediatric dentistry sees patients from age 1 through high school.

“We do anything an adult dentist does but on children like fillings and extractions with a focus on preventive care,” explained Picard. “We see a lot of children with special health care needs such as autism and childhood medical problems.”

They are planning to hire two more dentists for the new business and are also looking for assistants and front desk staff for Chelsea and welcome calls at 734-663-2490.

There will be parking available in a lot next to the building that’s part of the property.  Picard says they are looking forward to being part of the Chelsea community.

  1. Although I do not have little ones now, I do have a great granddaughter that will be turning 1 year old very soon and it will be awesome to have someone who will look after her needs through her young life.
    Welcome.
