The Old US-12 sidewalk project was delayed due to underground fiber optic and electric utility conflicts, but these issues have been resolved and the project is back on track.
Christine Linfield, city engineer, sent an update that the contractor’s plan to remove the detour on Friday, Aug. 3.
“If the asphalt paving crews cannot be scheduled prior to Aug. 3, then the detour will be removed and replaced with flagmen,” Linfield’s update states.
If flag operations are necessary, there still could be delays, so stay tuned for further updates.
