Plan your Aug. 23 visit to the Chelsea Community Fair

If you get to the Chelsea Community Fair by 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, you can see the goat judging in the Multi-Purpose Arena that’s followed by the dairy calves at noon and the beef cattle at 2 p.m.

You can see the horse show, which continues throughout the day as well.

Daily admission to the fair is $8. Children under 10 are free. An adult season pass is $30, students and senior citizen’s (65 years and older) season passes are $20. Parking is free but, rides are an additional fee.

Rides begin at 3 p.m. and Colors the Clown will perform from 3-7 p.m.

The K of C Bingo tent opens at 5:30 and runs until 10 p.m.

There will be nightly music in the music tent, all kinds of businesses and non-profit booths in the merchant barn and the Natures Creation of Life barn.

In the evening, beginning at 6 p.m. is the youth sheep judging in the Multi-Purpose Building and at 7:30 p.m., is the Chelsea Community Fair Figure Eight Demolition Derby.

Be sure to check out all the fair food that’s available as well from ice cream cones to cotton candy as well as daily meal specials inside the Service Building.
