Please donate to the library’s Holiday Hygiene Drive

CDL logo-1The Chelsea District Library will hold its annual Holiday Hygiene Drive through Jan. 7 in the front lobby.

Help teens and children who are homeless this month by donating hygiene supplies through Jan. 7. Needed are deodorant, acne cream, African American hair products, toothpaste and shower gel, as well as other supplies you might find in your bathroom cabinet.

Unopened donations will be distributed between Faith in Action in Chelsea and Ozone House of Ann Arbor, and the program is in partnership with 4-H clubs of Washtenaw County.

As a reminder, Faith In Action (FIA) is a community-funded, faith-based assistance and resource center for those who need a helping hand that serves both the Chelsea and Dexter school districts.

FIA donates supplies and clothing to an average of 12 families a day, and food to 100 families a month.

Ozone House is the “only agency in Washtenaw County that provides free, confidential and voluntary shelter and support services to runaway, homeless and high-risk youth ages 10-20 and their families.”
