Recent obituaries: Dale G. Kennedy, Jay R. Westcott

Kennedy,-Dale-webDale G. Kennedy, Bette’s spouse of nearly 64 years, passed away peacefully on his beloved Manchester Farm on a still, warm, blue-skied day, May 23, 2015.

Dale loved Bette, loved his family, and loved his friends, colleagues, community, and animals. He is and will be missed very much.

No matter how sick Dale was over the latter part of his life, he constantly exuded warmth and love for Bette. On their 50th Wedding Anniversary Dale proved to be a challenging customer for the local florist as he ordered a different beautiful flower for all 52 weeks of that anniversary year, picking up the latest special flower and delivering it with love to Bette each-and-every week of that entire year.

Nothing made Dale happier than being with and supporting his family. He constantly spoke with pride and love about his sons Michael and Scott, his daughter-in-laws Marikay and Merrilee, his grandchildren Megan and her spouse David, Michael and his spouse Allison, Seth, Abigail, and Mackenzie, and his great grand-children Madison, David, and Michael. They all loved him very much.

Dale was a good brother to his brothers Jack and Keith and to his sister Sue, and they were good brothers and a sister to him. They were all hard-working, highly principled, and talented business-people, which they learned from their parents Margaret and John Kennedy.

Dale benefited from the love and care of several talented and dedicated care-givers. They provided great comfort and support to Dale and Bette over the last several years.
