Alice May Hadley of Chelsea, age 78, died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at her home.
She was born Dec. 31, 1938 in Salem Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan, the daughter of Louis William and Alma L. (Inglehart) Esch.
Alice graduated from Dexter High School in 1957. She worked for Chelsea Milling for 9 years, Ann Arbor Seed Co. for 16 years, and then Dapco for 30 years. She was a hard worker all her life, working full time until the beginning of this year. Alice also worked on the farm, and enjoyed doing yardwork. She liked gardening, going to garage sales, and playing euchre at card parties. She also loved to listen to talk radio, especially WJR. Alice was a loving mother, and loved spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, 11 a.m. at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea, with David Esch officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Waterloo, Michigan. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.
