LeRoy D. Loveland, born Nov. 21, 1923, passed peacefully to be with the Lord at his home surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, June 4, 2017.

He was the youngest child born to Leonard and Edna (Notten) Loveland, and was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Ralph, Thelma, Ardea, Harley, and Dale.

LeRoy grew up on the family farm on Notten Road and graduated from Chelsea High School. He supported the family farm until 1951 when he started a career at Dana Corp. where he retired after 30 years of service. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge, the Jackson Commandery No. 9 Knights Templar, the Royal Arch Masons, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Moslem Shriners, and was a member of the Grass Lake United Methodist Church.

His gentle and generous ways will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones.

Visitation will be Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with a Masonic Service at 7:30 P.M. at Sherwood Funeral Home, Grass Lake.  Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Grass Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. Den Slattery officiating.  Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Grass Lake.
