Recent obituary: Marcella Mae Wojtas

Marcella Mae Wojtas of Chelsea, age 92, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at Superior Woods in Ypsilanti.

She was born April 11, 1925 in Middletown, Illinois, the daughter of William Thomas and Nellie (Moutardier) McGrew.

Marcella was one of eleven kids. During World War II, she was part of the Rosie the Riveter era, as she helped produce war supplies. She retired from Ford Motor Company as a quality control inspector. Marcella attended St. Paul United Church of Christ in Chelsea. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and crocheting.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 22, 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Chelsea, with Rev. Wallace Tatara officiating. Burial will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Westland, Michigan.

The family will receive friends at the Cole Funeral Chapel Thursday 5-8 p.m. and at the church Friday 10-11 a.m.
