(Publisher’s note: Network Administrator Melanie Bell taught this class. The story has been corrected.)

Earlier this month, Network Administrator Melanie Bell led a recycled books/papercraft program, “From Pages to Art,” at the Chelsea District Library.

Participants learned how to create two kinds of flowers and a bird out of recycled book pages. Seated at my table was a real intergenerational mix of crafty gals who assisted one another with the directions.

I had so much fun, I immediately came home and made more roses out of a recycled magazine. Thanks for the instruction, Melanie.

What are we going to make next?
