The Saline-Chelsea ski team raced Tuesday night in a slalom event at Mt Brighton. The freeze-thaw cycles we’ve been experiencing make for very icy course conditions, with 36 racers unable to finish, and several others that fell but were able to get back up to finish.
The boys team fell victim to this, with Caden Faupel the only racer on the boys’ team completing the course, but he, too, suffered a fall on his second run.
The girls team once again took 6th place, of 11 teams. The girls in scoring position included Nikki Dillmann in 17th place, Katie McInnis in 26th place, Ally Dillmann in 28th place, and Elizabeth Johnson in 43rd place.
