This year’s Sounds and Sights Festival attracted lots of people of all ages to the many activities all over Chelsea.

A number of businesses sponsored booths in the KidZone. Robin Hills Farm featured piglets to give kids the chance to “experience your food.” Chelsea Lanes offered its outdoor version of bowling, Chelsea ATA Martial Arts invited kids to learn some moves, and the Ceramics Clayland and Art Studio offered the chance to do artwork.

In addition to the sidewalk sales and vendors up and down Main Street, the Art Market took place on Middle Street.

Brad “the pen guy” Attwell made his debut at the Art Market.

“Everything I sell is cut by hand,” he said. “I have ball point, roller balls, fountain pens and pencils. I like the idea of art you can use on a daily basis.”

The Art Market featured jewelry, signs, soaps, and glass work. It was Lakeside Glass Studio’s fourth year at the market.

“It’s always a great crowd and I enjoy the people,” said Kelly Elliott, owner of Lakeside Glass Studio, which sells fused glass, copper enameling, lamp work, and lanterns. “There’s a nice mix of the arts here, and people are always looking for unique gifts.”

Ramiro Castro, sales manager for Mindo Chocolate from Dexter, had chocolate for sale.

“We make great quality dark chocolate and support local businesses,” he said.

Mindo Chocolate works with Dyer Family Organic Farm to make Sea Salt and Sesame Garlic chocolate bars and also works with berry growers to make chocolate blueberries and cherries.
