(Chelsea Update would like to thank Vickie Kaiser for the information in this story as well as the photos.)
July 28 was a beautiful day for a car show in Chelsea during the Sounds and Sights Festival.
The Chelsea Classic Cruisers hosted 312, maybe more, cars from all over SE Michigan. As you can see from the pictures of the trophy winners, the club welcomes and appreciate cars from the 1920’s to the 1970’s and from the elegant cruisers to muscle to street/rat rods.
The Chelsea Classic Cruisers is a group of 20 couples plus two individuals ranging in age from 36 to over 80 who own Classic cars from a 1914 Baby Grand Chevy to a 1986 Chevy K10 Silverado PU and many different things in between.
The club’s members live in Ann Arbor Chelsea, Dexter, Grass Lake, Jackson, Manchester, Pinckney, Stockbridge and Ypsilanti.
The club has been organizing a large car show in Chelsea for at least 20 years as well as Cruise Nights at Wendy’s in Chelsea on the first and third Tuesdays June thru September. The group also travels together to other car shows.
If you have any questions about the club please contact Club President Vickie Kaiser at [email protected] or 734-649-1106.
