Members of SRSLY recently appealed to the Chelsea City Council to consider adopting an ordinance that would ban the sale of drug paraphernalia inside the city limits.
The following SRSLY members presented to the City Council:
- Samantha Jabara, 12th grade
- Renae Kempf, 11th grade
- Rachel Valek, 11th grade
- Sean McGill, 8th grade
- Georgie Reynolds, 8th grade
- Natalie Gofton, 8th grade
- Paulina Perkins, 7th grade
- Branden Merkel, 6th grade
The youth were told that the elected officials would consider their request in 2015.
