More than 100 classic and custom cars and trucks roared into St. Louis Center on Sunday, Sept. 18 for the 4th Annual Car Show fundraiser to benefit their residents.

Along with many beautifully restored and untouched vehicles, a large number of local residents visited the show to enjoy the weather, the grounds, the entertainment and the food.

Some of the more unique vehicles this year included a 1934 General St. Louis Firetruck, a 1939 Ford Business Coupe, a 1940 Nash, and a 1956 Dodge LeFemme (complete with original eyebrows).

The Best in Show award went to local farmer Bob Koengeter, who had immaculately restored a 1933 Ford Stake Truck. Special guest judges included Jean Jennings of “Jean Knows Cars,” and Brian “Bubba” Cowan of W4 Country radio 102.9 FM in Ann Arbor.

The show was a huge success, and the proceeds benefited the residents of St. Louis Center, which provides residential care for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
