Chelsea Area Festivals and Events is looking for volunteers to help with the annual Sounds and Sights Festival that takes place July 24-26.
In its 38th season, the weekend event is expected to draw more than 15,000 visitors and will feature national and regional live music acts, local food and brew, an open-air art market, classic car show, chalk art contest, and multiple events activities for all ages.
“Activities and events can only happen with the generous support of our wonderful volunteers,” said Volunteer Coordinator Anita Mosier.
Volunteer opportunities are broken down into 2-hour slots in a variety of areas like the KidZone, Art Market and Social Tent. Most activities require multiple volunteers, and groups looking to give back to the community are encouraged to sign up together.
“I have found that volunteering during the Sounds and Sights Festival is more like fun than work,” Mosier said in a press release.
“For the first time, we are hosting a ‘Volunteer Orientation and Appreciation Event’ to welcome everyone and to show them how much we truly appreciate their help,” she said.
