Breathe-Yoga-logo(Chelsea Update would like to thank Sue Whitmarsh for the information in this story.)

Breathe Yoga will offer summer camps for kids – or Young Yogis – beginning on June 27.

Led by Miss Sue and Miss Niki, who have been teaching Young Yogis through Chelsea Community Education since 2014, these camps will give local kids something different to do over the summer.

Offering a nurturing, supportive, non-competitive atmosphere, Young Yogis will stretch, strengthen and energize both their minds and bodies. Working cooperatively in pairs and groups, students will be introduced to a range of activities that will encourage a sense of body awareness, kindness and self-compassion, positive thinking, self-regulation and coping skills, creative self-expression and friendships and connections that are truly special.

Each session will include yoga postures, mindfulness, meditation, journaling, relaxation, games, crafts stories and music. A healthy snack is included.

Each student will receive their own journal, which they can fill with pictures of themselves in different yoga poses, positive affirmations and other notes and drawings – a lovely souvenir of a fun, rewarding experience.

For full details and to register your child – there is a second sibling discount – please visit breatheyogachelsea.com or call Sue Whitmarsh at 734-627-7558.
