(Publisher’s note: I was not able to attend the lamb judging last night and send a huge thank you to Sarah Norris for the photos in this story.)

Brayden Gilbert of Grass Lake is a familiar face in the final drive with his lambs at the Chelsea Community Fair.

He was last year’s individual champion as well.

In fact, the Gilbert siblings, Brayden and Adalyn, have shown lambs at fair since 2016, winning either champion individual or champion pair seven out of the last nine years. (They didn’t show during the COVID year.)

In fact, there was another repeat winner this year – Mathew Staeber. This year, he had the grand champion pair of lambs, while last year, he had the reserve champion pair.
