7th Grade Football Plays Hard in Weather Shortened Game

(Chelsea Update would like to thank David Slusser for the information in this story.)

The 7th grade Beach Middle School football team gave a valiant effort against a stout Saline team. The game was called off due to lightening with 8 minutes left in the game with the dogs on offense. The final score was 30-16 with Saline leaving victorious.

Highlights of the game were:

Jackson Ichesco had a banner day at quarterback running for both touchdowns, which included a 60 yard TD run, and completing both 2 pt. conversion passes. Jax also record big hits on defense.

Nolan Sciackitano, Eli Edwards, Jake Stephens, Brayden Ash, Drew Filiyaw, and Nick White all caught or ran the ball for positive yardage. They got the job done.

Defensively, Jackson Wray, Zane Russel, and Judo Park flew around the field, making great plays. John Orlandi and Josh Stephens recorded several tackles for loss and held it down on the d line all game.

The Dogs will host Jackson next week at Jerry Niehaus field.
