(Chelsea Update would like to thank David Slusser and Dan Rhodes for the information in this story.)

The Beach 7th grade football team hosted Jackson Tuesday night and came away with a 50-14 win against the Vikings, the first victory for the 7th grade program since 2019.

Highlights included:

Jackson Ichesco had an unbelievable day at QB amassing 4 rushing touchdowns and 2 passing touchdowns. Jackson totaled over 150 yards rushing and over 100 yards passing.

Eli Edwards and Josh Stephens both caught HUGE touchdown passes while Brayden Ash, Nolan Schickatano, and Asher Lantis scored on 2-point conversions.

Nate Sisler began the scoring of the game with a heads-up defensive touchdown on a fumble recovery due to a backwards pass.

Big John Orlandi held down the defensive line and was responsible for 2 fumble recoveries. Eli Edwards also had an interception.

Cameron Harmes and Landon Owen had an impressive day on the offensive line with great blocking.

Charlie Getty had his first tackle. If you see Charlie, give him a high five or a fist bump.

8th grade football

Tuesday night, the 8th Grade football team took it on the chin against the Vikings from Jackson in a 36-16 loss.

The Dawgs fell behind early and came out strong in the second half in their comeback attempt. Scoring for the Bulldogs was Landon Barkey on a quarterback sneak, and Gibby Ichesco on a 61-yard run. Ichesco also converted the 2-point conversion after both touchdowns.

The offensive line led by Cooper Adams, Palmer Hurst, Ethan Fody, Matthew Harris, Thomas Szpara, Luke Szpara, Caleb Fitch, and others made great blocks in the second half, opening up big holes on the two scoring drives. Defensively, Hurst and Adams led the way.

The 8th grade team has a bye next Tuesday and they look to improve in all facets before their next game in two weeks.
