What you’ll find at Sounds & Sights Festival KidZone

One of the most popular features of Chelsea’s Sounds & Sights Festival is the KidZone entertainment and activities area.

The KidZone, sponsored by Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry, Michigan Medicine Chelsea Health Center, Mudpies and Lullabies, and LAFCU – Your Credit Union for Life,  will offer activities for children of all ages on both Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Located behind the Clocktower complex, kids enjoy free bounce houses, children’s entertainers, sporting activities, and more.
On Friday, July 26 the Chelsea District Library will be on site 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with summer fun and prizes for all ages.  Under the Clocktower Gazebo, event festivities kick off with ATA Martial Arts instructors and students demonstrating safety and Taekwondo skills at 11 a.m.

Next, join singer and song writer Music Man Dave for some interactive music fun at 11 a.m. David Rodgers will have the kids singing and dancing along to songs with super-fun ideas like imagining you can fly, making pancakes and omelets with family, dancing by moving various body parts, and acting like a variety of animals.

At 1:30 p.m., Eddy Discovery Center will introduce children to the fascinating world of geology and to the diverse natural habitats that are found today within Waterloo’s 20,000-plus acres.

The Pet Parade kicks off events on Saturday, July 27 at 10 a.m.  This year’s parade theme, Tails of the Seven Seas, promises an unforgettable opportunity for pets and their owners to strut their stuff downtown. Participants should plan to arrive at Chelsea Farmers Supply, located across from the railroad tracks at 122 Jackson Street, between 9:00 and 9:40 a.m. to check-in and get lined up for the parade which starts at 10 a.m.  For further information on the pet parade call H.K. at Chelsea Farmers Supply 734-475-1777.
