Hello South Meadows’ Families:
Please know that our day (Dec. 17) at South went smoothly and the staff handled any questions with care and consideration.
We did not talk with each class but rather did do a brief moment of silence on the morning announcements for our friends in Connecticut. We did not reference at all what had happened, taking into account that many of our children may have no knowledge of the event.
It is more challenging at this building as we have an age range that warrants different information levels. We did have support staff available for anyone who may have needed it and will continue to make this an option.
I do thank you for the supportive calls, emails and words that we have received throughout the day from families.
May you all take good care and hug your children close tonight.
