A reminder about the upcoming ice cream socials

St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Manchester will hold its ice cream social on Thursday, July 25 from 5-8 p.m.The menu

includes a pulled BBQ sandwich, kielbasa, kraut, hot dog, homemade mac and cheese, fresh cut veggies, cold potato salad, German potato salad, cole slaw, chips, homemade pie, pop, water, ice tea and lemonade at various prices from $3 to $1.

There will be kid’s activities and games, a country store, basket raffle and live music.

The church is located at 210 West Main St. in Manchester.

St. Andrew’s United Church of Christ in Dexter will hold its annual ice cream social on Thursday, Aug. 1 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.

They will be serving knockwursts (with or without sauerkraut), Sloppy Joe’s, pulled pork, hot dogs, German and American potato salad, baked beans, fruit cup, beverages, ice cream and free cake.

Items are a la carte, sandwiches between $2 and $3, sides at $1, beverages $1 to $1.50 (A&W Root Beer) and ice cream is a donation.

St. Andrew’s is located at 7610 Ann Arbor St. with plenty of parking and an air conditioned hall to enjoy a great home-cooked meal.

The Chelsea Senior Center will host an ice cream social on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 12:30 p.m.

Join them for ice cream and a performance by San Slomovits of the well-known musical group Gemini, and his daughter, Emily. This event is supported by American 1.
