After school mixed youth bowling league offered by Chelsea Lanes

Attention all parents, Chelsea Lanes is offering a new after school, mixed youth bowling league starting Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Students in grades 5-8 can even ride a bus from school to this after-school activity that runs from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

“We’re very excited about this new league,” said Ed Greenleaf, owner of Chelsea Lanes, and a certified bowling instructor and coach of the high school bowling team.

“This new league is a chance for younger kids to be introduced to the great sport of bowling. It’s a chance for them to ‘move more’ and participate in the 5 Healthy Towns’ initiative. Plus, they can try out a different sport — one that they can continue playing into their 50’s, 60’s, and even into their 70’s.”

For students in grades-9-12, bowling will take place from 6-8 p.m. And members of the Chelsea High School Bowling Team have volunteered to provide a safe, fun and exciting atmosphere for all students who participate.

Then starting Saturday, Oct. 12, Chelsea Lanes will have a mixed youth league for children in grades K-5 from 1-3 p.m.

Transportation from school to Chelsea Lanes is available, but students must have an alternate transportation form on file with the office before they are able to ride the bus. If not, they will not be allowed to board the bus.

Forms will be available at the school office as well as Chelsea Lanes.

In addition, this weekly activity is certified by SRSLY, Greenleaf said.
