Aloha.

“These kids are going to have more fun than they can imagine,” says Children’s Pastor Jeff Bradley as the Chelsea Free Methodist Church kicks off a 3-day Vacation Bible School with a Hawaiian Splash Run on Sunday, June 22.

The church hopes to have 100 children between the ages of Kindergarten and 5th grade running and getting splashed with color as they go along the mile route.

The fun run begins at the 400 building at the Washington Street Education Center (WSEC) and registration for VBS and the fun run begins at 5:15 p.m.

After the race, patrons will be invited to fee hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn or snow cones. “We just really hope this is a great time for families to come out on a Sunday night and have fun running together,” said Lisa Stebelton, adventure director.

“We are only allowing children who are signed up for VBS to run,” she said adding that “Once they are signed up, for $20 a family, every member of the family can run and the children are all given a Hawaiian Hullabaloo t-shirt.”

Ho’olu komo la kaua. (Please join us)

The Hawaiian Hullabaloo VBS is Monday, June 23-Wednesday, June 25 from 6-8:30 p.m.

It will include fun songs, games, crafts, snacks and lots of really good Bible lessons encouraging children to live from the inside out.

Planners are also adding a hospitality tent for parents who want a free cup of coffee or just want to hang around and relax while their children are having fun at VBS.

Mahalo. (Thank you.)
