AnnArbor.com: Democratic candidates hold education press conference in Chelsea

The lawn in front of Beach Middle School was the scene of a Democratic press conference about education Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 4, according to a story from AnnArbor.com.

Gretchen Driskell, Adam Zemke, Jeff Irwin and a retired Chelsea school teacher, Sandy Inman, offered their thoughts about the consequences that state cuts have had on education and what they’d like to do to change the situation.

Driskell is a Democrat and current mayor of Saline, who is running for the 52nd District spot against State Rep. Mark Ouimet, R-Scio Township. Irwin is a current Democratic state representative from Ann Arbor and Zemke is a Democrat running for the 55th District seat.
