April 25: WWRA clean-up day cancelled

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Shawn Personke for the information in this story.)

The Washtenaw County Clean Up day scheduled for April 25 at Chelsea High School has been cancelled.

At this point, there are no plans to reschedule. However, the Northfield Township event is still scheduled for June 27.

The Chelsea event is a joint venture between the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office and Western Washtenaw Recycling Authority. In past years, the CHS Athletic Boosters have also participated.

In other news, the WWRA bin sites are open and being serviced. Curbside recycling within the city of Chelsea is also ongoing. The city’s transfer station, located on Werkner Road, is closed to the public.

As always, the WWRA asks that all items recycled should be clean.
