April 29: St. Paul UCC ‘Chelsea Community Café’

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Eric Stricklin for the information in this story.)

Beginning Wednesday, April 29 at noon, Rev. Eric Stricklin of St. Paul United Church of Christ will host a weekly online event called “Chelsea Community Cafe.”

Here’s the link to the event.

Guests will be from a variety of Chelsea community organizations who will talk about the work they’re still doing, how members of the community can be involved, and resources available to community members to help their own lives. The event will take place on Zoom, and the link will be shared on the Facebook pages of St. Paul, Chelsea, 5 Healthy Towns, and other area churches.

The first guest will be Sheri Montoye from Faith in Action.

“One of Chelsea’s greatest strengths is its connectedness and the ways that its residents care for their neighbors,” said Stricklin.

This is an effort to keep that spirit alive in difficult times.

The online event will continue for the duration of the Stay at Home orders.
