Are you looking for a way to help animals and buy a holiday gift?

File photo. I’m so thankful to Mr. and Mrs. Claus (Doctors Margaret and Jonathan Lane) of Lane Animal Hospital for keeping Buzz healthy and happy.

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Lane Animal Hospital for the information in this story.)

The Lane Animal Hospital Angel Fund allows pets to receive the proper care in an emergency situation where treatment is immediately needed.

This is completely funded by donations of those willing to help when owners are unable to afford necessary emergency medical care.

Typically, donations come from purchasing the animal hospital’s Angel Fund T-shirts or from donation events like Santa Paws, or even just leaving change at the end of a pet’s visit.

Given the ongoing pandemic, the animal hospital doesn’t foresee being able to hold any events in the coming months to refill the Angel Fund for 2021.

However, for those of you looking to help the pets in need in our community, while also needing a great holiday gift – Sweetly Scented Oasis, a private candle making business run by one of our veterinary assistants, has offered to donate 5 percent of each order to the Angel Fund.

The candles began as a hobby during quarantine, as something to keep busy with, and has turned into a fun side enterprise for Ashley.

Sweetly Scented Oasis has 60 scents available with multiple jar options to choose from. For more information, you can e-mail Ashley at [email protected] (please allow 24-48 hours for reply).

Lane Animal Hospital is so thankful for this partnership to help refill our angel fund and the candles smell really delicious, so we hope everyone checks them out.
