Artisan market and fundraiser set for Wine, Women and Shopping on Nov. 10

Plans are taking shape for the 7th annual Wine, Women and Shopping ladies’ day event in historic downtown Chelsea on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

The event kicks off the holiday season with lots of fun and shopping in a relaxed atmosphere prior to the mad rush of the holidays, according to information from the organizers.

“Chelsea’s charming boutiques and shops pull out all the stops to make the day memorable,” the information states.

Many of the shops and restaurants serve refreshments and have special events, plus all shoppers can wine and dine at a number of great area restaurants.

Wine, Women and Shopping is a special local shopping day in Chelsea, which puts local business in the spotlight and gives mothers, sisters, and friends a great reason to get together and spend the day having fun.

Participating merchants and restaurants will sport red-and-white balloons, so be sure to keep your eyes open as you wander around Chelsea.

New this year is a fundraiser to assist the Headache Clinic at Chelsea Community Hospital. The event committee plans to sell 100 handmade hobo purses made of tapestry for $30 each to support the nationally-known local clinic, which brings people to the city from across the country.

Plus, there will also be an artisan’s market at The Depot with about 15 area artists and fine craft persons selling unique items that will make terrific gifts.
