At the Bushel Basket: Wednesday, Oct. 24 – last one for the season

This is the last Bushel Basket farmers’ market of the season. The market will be open Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 2:30 to 6 p.m. at the Chelsea Community Fairgrounds.

Pumpkins anyone?

Here’s what the vendors expect to have on this week.

Kapp Farms: baked goods, pretzels, and rolls.

Waterloo Country Crafts and Tack: quilts, throws, Raggedy Ann dolls, and monkey dolls.

Barbara’s Stitches: quilts, monkey dolls, little girl dresses, pillows, bibs from children and adults, aprons, and potholders.

Lutchka Angus and Farm Market:Brussels sprouts, winter squash, maybe peppers, gourds, pumpkins, and corn stalks.

Oak Hill Farm: honey, bee pollen, lotion bars, candles, gift bags with assorted honey products.

Mark’s Farms and Greenhouse: cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, winter squash, onions, leeks, potatoes, Swiss chard, kale, gourds, pumpkins, and sweet potatoes.

Golden Fleece Farm, LLC: grass fed ground beef patties, ground round, hamburger patties, rib-eye steak, tenderloin steak, chuck roast, soup bones, sirloin steak, New York strip steak, Swiss steak, sirloin tip roast, organically grown and naturally raised whole chickens.

Greystone Creamery: feta, possibly ricotta, Man-chel cheese, possibly cow gouda, Chelsea-cam, blue Man-chel, sheep gouda, butternut, garlic pepper and plain cream cheese.

Pregitzer Farm Market, LLC: peppers, cucumbers, watermelon, broccoli, green and red cabbage, eggplants, zucchini, pie pumpkins, frozen chicken by order, a CSA (community supported agriculture) farm, ask for details.

Janet’s LLC: fudge, grilling rubs, jam, flavored nuts, Halloween suckers, spiders, witches, caskets (provided it’s not too hot and sunny), skeletons, both U-M and MSU “dammit dolls,” and greeting cards.

Stone Hearth Breads and Bakery: pumpernickel, German rye and German rye seeded, Italian Milano, honey whole wheat, San Francisco sourdough, assorted cookies and buns, four-cheese pepperoni rolls, spinach feta cheese bread, multi-grain bread, country loaf, cheese bread, rosemary herb and tomato basil bread, four-cheese bread sticks, jalapeno cheese bread and assorted sweet breads — including cinnamon, cinnamon raisin, strawberry white chocolate, peach pecan, wild blueberry cream cheese, Reuben rolls, and bacon cheddar beer bread.

T. J Farms: nursery stock plants, trees and bushes will see everyone in the spring. Since this is the last Wednesday market of the season, he wants to remind people that the Ann Arbor Farmers’ Market continues year-round on Saturdays.
