At the fair: lamb winners

Tanner Trinkle took the grand champion lamb in this first time showing sheep at the Chelsea Community Fair.

His lamb weighed in at 128 pounds and was sold at auction for $23 per pound to North Face Farm.

Reserve Grand champion lamb went to Samantha Bies, who was also the senior showmanship winner.

Her lamb was 150 pounds and sold for $10 per pound to Staffan Mitchell Funeral Home.

Lake VanNatter won grand champion pair with two lambs that weighed 130 and 129 pounds respectively. The pair were sold at auction for $6 per pound to Wolverine Food and Spirits in remembrance of Joe Merkel.

Mason Trinkle had the reserve champion pair that weighed 160 and 155 pounds respectively. They were sold to North Face Farm for $6 per pound.

Mason also was tied with Tanner Trinkle for the rate of gain winner and Mason also won the intermediate showmanship class.

Patrick Quinn was the junior showmanship winner, while Carter Trinkle was the youth showmanship winner.
