“People have really embraced curling and we look forward to establishing the sport in our area,” says John Hanifan, lead coach for Curling Fest.

Curling is considered the fastest growing sport in America, and the men’s USA team took home gold at the 2018 winter Olympics. Players slide a curling stone down a long sheet of ice at a central target while teammates use brushes or brooms to sweep the ice in the path of the stone. It’s been referred to as “shuffleboard on ice.”

Thanks to our presenting sponsor, Rick Taylor Real Estate and to TapKey Solutions for Small Business for sponsoring the ice time. These businesses support fun activities that make Chelsea, Michigan – chelseamich.com such a great place.
