(Chelsea Update would like to thank Stephanie Busch for the information in this story.)

The Beach Middle School cross country team competed in its last race of the season in Saline at Mill Pond Park on Wednesday, Oct. 10, and everyone ran exceptionally well.

In all, 28 runners ran their best times of the season. The most improved runners were Samantha Dunlap, who took 1:40 off her time and Jack Bolt, who took over a minute off his time.

Both the boys and the girls teams took third place out of eight teams. In the boys race, Joshua Kowalski, Ben Ingall, Liam Heaney, Cole Phillips, Cullen Lindsay, Jack Bolt, and Connor Gilbreath led the team to its third-place finish.

In the girls race, Jesse Jacobusse defended her title by winning the race. Sydney Matusik, Caroline Hirth, Clara Nelson, Anna Vanneste, Nora Fahle, and Katelyn McKinley led the team to its third-place finish.

Way to go, all cross country runners. This was a great race to end our season.
