8 Blue
Tuesday night, the 8th grade blue football team defeated Dexter 28-7.

The Dawgs were sluggish early and faced a 7-0 deficit late in the second quarter. Regan Plank then broke a long run and punched in the two-point conversion with 22 seconds left in the half to give the Bulldogs the lead.

The team made some adjustments at the half, and came out firing on all cylinders, outscoring the Dreads in the second half 20-0.

The offensive line led the charge and their great blocking along with that of Carter Nicholson that allowed Plank to score three more times and for Collin Tailford to run in a 2-point conversion.

The defense played strong as well, shutting down the Dexter offense and creating 3 turnovers. Thomas Shemwell, Tailford, and other members of the defense made key tackles throughout the game.

Nicholson and Plank both recovered fumbles, and Lucas Racine had an interception that sealed the Bulldogs victory.

The Bulldogs will finish out the season Tuesday when they host Monroe.

7 Gold
The 7th grade gold football team hosted Bedford and lost 28-0.

The dogs showed great improvement and kept the game close until the 4th quarter.

Richard Montoye and Nate Christian had long runs of 40+ yards on offense.

Luke Webster and Kyle Jahr led the team in tackles on defense while Lei Berg and Brennen Williams played tough upfront.

The gold team finishes the season on Tuesday at Saline.
