Beach Middle School basketball opening game results

A look at the new middle school basketball uniforms.

(Chelsea Update would like to thank the coaches and Jason Morris, middle school athletic director, for these results and the photo of the new middle school basketball uniforms.)

Here are the Beach Middle School basketball results from Tuesday, Nov. 13.

The 7th grade Boys’ gold basketball team lost to Lincoln in their opener by a score of 29-8.  The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Ben Brown with 4 points and Riley Lukomski with 4 points. Corbin Munson, Tobin Moore, and Max Gervais each had 2 points.

The 7th grade blue team lost at Dexter, but there are no additional details.

The boys’ 8th grade gold team won two of the three quarters in the first half, but fell in the second half in a 25-6 loss to Lincoln. Cam Cooper led the way for the Dawgs with 8 points, and Jack Bush scored the team’s first three-pointer of the season. Outstanding hustle performances were also turned in by Ben Kaemming and Ananth Ghosh.

The 8th grade Boys’ blue basketball team started off the season with a 15-11 win over Dexter. Bryce Jubenville led the scoring with 5 points including 3 free throws down the stretch to seal the win. Brady Friss, Cal Barrett, and Matt McDaniels had 3 points each. Joe Wise, Anthony Verardi, and Ryan Mitchell also scored for the Bulldogs.

Many thanks to the Chelsea Athletic Boosters and middle school parents who have worked concessions and 50/50 raffles. Because of these efforts, both the boys and girls middle school basketball teams were able to replace their uniforms.
