The Beach Middle School boys placed seventh out of nine teams in its first middle school SEC Jamboree at Bedford. Leading the way was Lucas Hopkins. Strong performances by Jonas Norwood and Bram Hartsuff helped the team.
In the open race, the boys placed eight out of eight teams. Leading the charge was Jacob Andreski and Ethan Kapolka.
The Beach Middle School girls placed fifth out of nine teams. Leading the girls were Kate Gaiser, Mya King and Audra Guthre.
In the open race, Lily Thiry ran a solid time followed by Shawna Chester.
The meet was a good start to the season and the team showed excellent sportsmanship and spirit said coach Loren Thorburn.
