On Saturday, Oct. 9, the Beach Middle School cross country team ran at the Portage Invitational – one of the largest middle school meets in the area.
The team had a great showing as they ran the 1.55 mile course.
Three runners Samantha Bieber, Beckett Boos and Wyeth Angus earned medals for placing in the top 30 of races that included over 400 runners.
The Chelsea boys team placed 7th out of 50 teams and the girls team placed 34th out of 47 teams.
For the girls, Lissa Krueger moved up 16 places in the last half mile of the race.
And for the boys, AJ Smith, Alex Martin, Jake Brant and Owen Thorburn also placed in the top 50 for Division 2 runners.
