Beach Middle School field hockey downs Pinckney, 5-0

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Angela Menegay for the information in this story.)

The Beach Middle School field hockey team excelled against a persistent Pinckney team in a 5-0 win on Thursday night.

The Bulldogs had a solid first half with one goal scored by Teresa Smith and with two goals by Keygan Monahan, who also used big hits later in the game to outlet the ball.

During the second half, Teresa Smith netted a second goal, assisted with a well-timed pass by Braiden Schleffer. Abbie Nye then skillfully worked the ball down the field for her first goal of the season.

Azlyn Eckert, Cecilia Bayer, and Brinna Wenzel adeptly transitioned the ball through the middle section of the field and worked to keep the ball in the circle for Bulldog scoring opportunities.

The team returns to the field on Sept. 29 for a game at Saline.
