7th grade gold

The 7th grade gold football team traveled to Maple Stadium on Tuesday, to take on the Adrian 7th grade team.

The dogs, led by captains Gus Herter, Aiden Day, Ethan Fody, and Brenden Bollinger lost 32-12.

The dogs were tied at halftime thanks to a 50-yard touchdown run by Gibson Icescho and a 60-yard touchdown completion from Herter to Zack Tropea.

Quentin Carradine had a great offensive performance, while Fody, Cody Cox, and Ichesco led the team in tackles. Brock Koch also had a stellar defensive performance, making big tackles for loss.

7th grade blue

The Blue team hosted Ypsilanti in less than ideal weather conditions. It was raining and the first experience in football for many on the team. Despite the conditions, there were some bright spots in the 38-0 loss to the talented Grizzly team.

Palmer Hurst had some good blocking and tackling.

Landon Barkey controlled the offense at the QB position, completing multiple throws.

Luke Szpara had a nice game on both sides of the ball.

Nick Schultz had some excellent runs.

Xander Kemner hauled in multiple catches for good yardage.

Sam Forehand had some great tackles and Cooper Adams was impressive on the line on both sides of the ball.

Coach Houle and Coach Rod look forward to big improvements going into the next game.

8th grade football

Tuesday night, the 8th grade football beat Bedford 14-8 in a hard fought game.

The boys played great for their first game of the season and made several big plays.

The offense was led by quarterback Caden Steele who had several good plays, including two great touchdown runs. Steele also connected with Brody Schwartzentruber for a 2-point conversion.

The defense had a stellar performance with Jake Corcoran recovering a big fumble and Buck Allen with a key interception. Hunter Burk, Draper Montgomery, Cody Kennard, Wyatt Matusik and many others also made big plays on defense.

The defense sealed the victory by stuffing Bedford on a 4th down play with less than 2 minutes to go.

Great job, Bulldogs.
