Beach Middle School Football Season Wraps Up

The Beach Middle School 7th grade football team hosted Pinckney for its season finale at Jerry Niehaus field. The dogs fought hard and showed signs of improvement, but ultimately lost by a score of 44-0.

Highlights include:

  • Drew Sheets had several great passes at quarterback and a few tackles on defense.
  • Bryce Evans and Owen Sponsler led the team in tackles at inside linebacker. 
  • The defensive secondary led by Brax Pratto, August Coon, Enzo Buffamonte, Wes Richard, Tennssee Johnson-Chasteen, Nick Eder, and Henrik Hoonhorst contested Pinckney’s passing game the entire night.
  • Jack Neilsen and Jackson Blaker ran the ball effectively for the dogs.
  • Sheets connected with Coon for a first down completion on a fake punt. The dogs also recovered an onside kick to start the game.

The dogs finished the season 0-6 but showed incredible improvement and set themselves up for success at the high school level.


The Beach Middle School 8th grade football team hosted Pinckney to close out its 2024 season. The dogs kept it close in the first half, but Pinckney ended up running away with it at the end. The dogs lost by a final score of 38-6.

Highlights include:

  • The lone score from the dogs was a short touchdown pass from Easton Fahlstrom to Jake Weinberg. Weinberg and Fahlstrom also made a ton of tackles on defense.
  • The dogs recovered 2 fumbles during the game. Charlie Dawes recovered one and Fahlstrom recovered the other.
  • Cam Cybart and Landon Scripter ran the ball effectively for the dogs.
  • Matheus Adam-Rita continued his reign of terror as a kickoff kicker. He also made a big hit on one return.
  • Kellen Howard and Carter Smith played well at defensive end and made several big tackles.

The dogs finished the season 0-6 but showed great improvement throughout the season. The coaching staff wishes them the best as they continue their careers at the high school.
