Beach Middle School runners have terrific meet on Sept. 26

The boys and girls Beach Middle School cross country teams ran at Hudson Mills on Sept. 26 during the team’s 2nd Jamboree.

All of the athletes ran great races, and there were a total of 28 personal records posted.

Most improved runners were Matt Rosolowski and Greta Robbins who improved their times by more than 2 minutes.

The boys earned 76 points, placing them 3rd overall with Joshua Kowalski, Ben Ignall, Liam Heaney, Cullen Lindsay, Cole Phillips, Connor Gilbreath, and Dominic Gasbarre leading the way for the Bulldogs.

On the girls’ team, Jesse Jacobusse took first-place overall in the race, in a time of 13:03.  Ellie Doman, Caroline Hirth, Sydney Matusik, Clara Nelson and Anna Vanneste helped lead the team to a 4th place finish with 95 points, one point short of 3rd place.

The 6th grade runners shined at the Hudson Mills cross country meet with 45 runners representing the Bulldogs. The team showed a lot of heart on the course and finished with some very fast times.

Sydnee Liedel finished fourth overall, and was the first place female, logging a new female sixth grade school record of 9:55. Carson Rabbit was fifth and set a male sixth grade record of 9:58. Quinn Starkey was seventh overall and third for the team, while Briana Hay was ninth overall, second female overall, and fourth for the team.

Kira Frahm showed a lot of team spirit as she crossed the finish line with her hands flying.

Bennett Proegler raced hard and showed great leadership.

The next meet is Saturday, Sept. 29 at Hudson Mills, and the sixth graders will race at 8 a.m.
