Here are your Beach Middle School football results from Tuesday night.
The 7th grade gold football team lost to Saline last night, 28-8. The Bulldog touchdown was scored on a nice catch and run from Aiden Blockton. Braden Steele had several nice runs and threw the touchdown pass to Blockton. Cross Lucas also had a few pass completions to Colin Pustay. The defense was led by James Mida and Mason Trinkle with tackles.
The 7th grade blue football team lost 48-0 to Saline. Nice kick returns were made by Corbyn Munson and Grant Redmer. On offense, quarterbacks Tom Steele and Tobin Moore made some nice passes for positive yards to Alex Yeakey and Patrick Bertoni. On offense, Blake Engler, Jeret Hirst, Tyler Hargenrater, Hunter Poppenger, Evan Kucera, Joe and Will McFate, and Adam Edwards stepped up to provide solid blocking for Gus Reynolds, Ben Brown, and Alex Sanborn on some big runs.
The 8th grade blue football team lost 26-0 to Saline. On defense, the team was much improved. Leading the way were Eric Whitaker, Cole Septer, Preston Ewald, and Joey Wise. Plus, Nick Koch punted very well and Bryce Jubenville caught a pass.
The 8th grade gold football team lost 44-8 to a tough Saline squad. Making contributions on defense were Callum Krause, Cal Barrett, Kyle Bell, and an interception by Jordan Smith. The offense had a good game led by a long pass from Drew Anstead to Cam Cooper. A two-point conversion was added on a reception by Micheal Barnes.
