Beach Middle School Volleyball Teams Have Successful Day

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Kim Eder, Laura Ouellette, Corynne Eder and Ryann Skrypec for the information in this story.)

The 7 gold volleyball team won its match against a tough Tecumseh team Wednesday night.

Great serving in the first set from Emily Schultz, Marial Castilla, and Lily Miller helped seal a win (25-20). Avery Edwards had great sets and the team had hits from Emily, Mariel, and a tip from Kylie Schroeder.

The second set was just as exciting with a 25-16 win. Key serving came from Lily, Kayden Smith, and Kylie. Milieya Nemeth had some great passes from the back row. Charlotte Ewen and Phoenix Massey both had hits at the net and Magnolia Mason played aggressively.

In the third set, Kinsley Doletzky and Chelsea Atwell led the way with their sets. Chelsea scored two points with her serving and Kinsley had a great dig. The team lost the third set 8-25, but played hard all night. It was a great TEAM win.

Beach Middle School 7 Blue volleyball defeated Ypsilanti with all three sets winning 25-16, 25-8,25-8 at its home match.

Highlights of the match include servers Paisley Myers, Madeline Myles, and Grace Jaynes who all had multiple serves over the net and points scored for their Dawgs. Amber Yacks also did well at the serving line. Addelyn Collins had some good passes and play at the net as did Aniston Bomay as middle blocker.

Chelsea plays again Monday.

The 8th Grade Gold Volleyball team won its match against Tecumseh on Wednesday night (25-18, 10-25, 25-18).

Cora Bollinger and Scarlett Delong scored several aces for the team to get the lead. Lila Keeler and Delong rocked on serve receive, while Sloane Steele, Elena Reginaldo, and Celia Kwaske played aggressively at the net.

Great job to the Bulldogs.

The 8 Blue volleyball team played Ypsilanti last night winning all three sets.

Great serves by Lilly O’Brien and Chloe Klink. Many players worked to play unfamiliar options and work with a variety of players in the court.
