Beach Middle School Volleyball Learning Early in the Season

8th grade gold

8th Grade Gold volleyball played at home Wednesday against Tecumseh.

It was a competitive match, but Chelsea struggled with consistent team serving, losing the match 23-25, 10-25 and 18-25.

The team had some good digs in the back row but couldn’t put it all together.

Leading servers were Ella Root with 9 and Lyla Dabbs with 5. 
8th grade blue

Chelsea‘s eighth grade blue volleyball team traveled to Dexter and won the first set 25-17, but lost the second and third 25-17, 25-16.

There were great hits from Addie Howard, Ava Reyes and Brooklyn Angel .

Aubrey Trent’s passing was on target to setter.

Strong serving goes to Lexi Commer, even though we did not bring home the win, the coach saw positive things.

7th grade gold

Although the team lost all three sets to Tecumseh, Delanie Monica’s serving efforts were amazing. She had 3 aces in a row.

Megan Brown had a good dig and great passes.

Lilli Cope always gives great effort when passing. Clara Baghdoian and Kiley Ellis also had some great passes.

Our next game is Monday, Sept. 27, at Ypsilanti Lincoln. 

7th grade blue

The Chelsea 7 Blue team was defeated by Dexter all three sets in their first away match.

Aria Waldron lead the Bulldog charge with 8 serves over the net followed by Marie Maynard with 5 and 4 by Natalie Boos.

Good net play was seen by Delanie Maute during the first set which was lost 25-17.

The team tried to fight back in set two but lost 25-12 and also in set three 25-18.

Chelsea will return back to their home court Monday.
