Beach Middle School volleyball recap

7th grade blue
The 7th grade Blue Volleyball team won their match against Ypsilanti at home Monday night.

They won the first set 25-12, lost the 2nd 21-25 and won the 3rd 25-15.

Kate Krugh led in serve points with an incredible 23, Allie Schumann, Caroline Knight and Claire Zarinnia each had 3.

Katie Jedele 2 and Grace Ratliff, Addie McCarthy, Maya Valik and Maggie Baldwin each had 1.

Great play at the net by Caroline with 2 kills.

7th grade gold
The 7th grade gold volleyball team fell to the Pinckney Pirates after a hard battle fought by both teams.

The Bulldogs came back tough and won their 2nd set 25-10 after losing the first set 23-25. Chelsea gave a good final effort in the last set but lost 20-25.

Cecil Henriksen made her debut after returning from injury and scored points including a couple of aces.

Carley Grabarcyzk got all her serves over this match and Gabriella Basar scored many points for her team. Rory Mickle had a nice pass to win the final point in the 2nd set and Meghan Bareis had a couple nice hits to add to highlights of the match.

8th grade blue
Chelsea’s 8th grade blue volleyball team took all three games from Ypsilanti 25-13,  25-3,  25-10.

First play of the game we ran past-set-kill side out.

Anna Reisner started us out she had a total of 17 points for the night Kayla Munson had a total of 30 points for the night followed by Adrija Skiotys who had 5 points.

Mikaila Leonard had four and Sami Nye had one.

Hayley Hice had 2 kills and Molly Sobiechowski one kill.

Emma Leonard played backrow defense.

8th grade gold
8th Grade gold volleyball beat Pinckney last night winning their first two sets 25-18 and 25-21, before losing the third set 13-25.

Leading servers for the night were Meghan Boughton, Sierra Suntheimer and Jessie Wesley.

In addition, Madi Kay, Zoe Rezler, Caitlin White, and Emilee Underwood had several great plays at the net.

Good job team.
