Beach Middle School volleyball recap

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Laura Ouellette, Dave Brinklow and Kim Eder for the information in this story.)

7th grade gold
The 7th grade gold volleyball team sealed a victory early taking the match vs. Lincoln Railsplitters with wins in the first 2 sets,  25-18 and 25-11, before losing the final set, 18-25.

Leading servers were Sasha French, Meghan Bareis, and Jenna Ouellette. Arianne Hunter and Kyah Mitchell found server success, too, along with the nice passing of Carley Grabarcyzk and Libby Wacker during the match.

The team hopes to continue the winning streak this week with an away match vs. Dexter today.

7th grade blue
The 7th grade blue volleyball team lost all 3 sets at home against Monroe Monday  night.

Kate Krugh led in serve points and had a great dig. Caroline Knight put up some good passes against very tough Monroe serves.

8th grade gold
The 8th Grade Gold volleyball team started off strong with 12 serves in a row from Sierra Suntheimer, good setting and a tip from Caitlin White and hits from Emilee Underwood and Meg Boughton to win the first set 25-11 against Lincoln.

The 2nd set the team struggled with serves and passing with a loss 25-8.

With the match on the line in the third set, the Dawgs brought their A game. With good serving all around, especially from Emilee Underwood and Jessie Wesley, the team pulled ahead to win the set and the match 25-14.
