Beach Middle School 7Blue volleyball traveled to Saline where they suffered a loss on the road, 25-11, 25-22, 25-16.
Highlights include consistent serving by Paisley Myers for 17 total points during the match. Getting the serves over the net is critical in increasing pressure on the opponents.
Grace Jayne and Ellie Hurst continue to do well on defense and were responsible for several longer rallies.
Chelsea will play at home on Wednesday.
Eighth grade Blue put up a great fight against Saline Monday night, 18-25, 23-25, and 19-25.
Chloe Morgan had some great plays at the net. Chloe Klink scored with a short serve and had a hit. Maci McDermott played well at the net, and Rylee Williams hit the ball hard to score some points.
Avery Lloyd had a massive block and ran up points with some amazing serves. Logan Schoeneman covered the back row with many saves and digs. Great game to watch. The team plays Wednesday against Ypsilanti.
The 8th Grade Gold Volleyball team played a tough and exciting match against Saline on Monday night. They came close in the 1st and 3rd sets (20-25; 27-29), but Saline’s serves ended up pushing them to the win.
Streak servers for the Bulldogs were Scarlett Delong, Sloane Steele, and Makayla McClanahan. Fiona Boercherding and Ansley Ahlstrom set up perfect sets for Sloane and Cora Bollinger to get hits on.
Kiera Day and Mia Kloos made some great saves on defense in the second set that helped secure points for the team.
The team will take on Tecumseh (away) on Wednesday night.
