Beach Middle School Volleyball Recap

The 8th Grade Gold Volleyball team won all three sets on Monday night against Bedford (25-23, 25-13, 25-18).

Makayla McClanahan and Fiona Boercherding had serving streaks in all three sets. Sloane Steele, Cora Bollinger, Kiera Day and Elena Reginaldo all scored with their hits and tips over Bedford’s blockers. Mia Kloos had great sets to Celia Kwaske and Lila Keeler at the net.

Ansley Ahlstrom, Baylee Kuck, and Scarlett Delong all had amazing digs on defense that stopped Bedford from earning several points. Everyone did a great job with covering all over the court.


7 gold volleyball battled Bedford Monday night but lost its match, 18-25,11-25,16-25.

The team struggled returning some very strong serves by Bedford.  There were several great vollies by the Bulldogs but it wasn’t enough to bring home a win. 

Highlights for the night included great court play by Kylie Schroeder. Strong net play by Charlotte Ewen, Phoenix Massey, and Emily Schultz. Phoenix had a couple great saves and Emily tallied up at least 6 hits and tips for the night and served 9 points including 4 aces. Kylie also earned 9 service points. Avery Edwards was strong in the back row for serve receive and added 2 tips and several sets at the net.

The team plays its last home game Wednesday against Monroe.


The BMS 7Blue team played its home match vs Pinckney and lost 2/3 sets therefore losing the match. Set one and set two were lost 25-19 on both sets. Set three was won 25-21. The strongest server of the afternoon as Anna Norton where she served over at every opportunity she had, totaling 16 serves. She also had reliable passing along with Paisley Myers and Norah Hurst. Aniston Bomay continues to improve her serving with 5 overhand during the match and Charlotte Wagoner made all her serves over, totaling 3 serves.

The 7Blue team heads away to Adrian on Wednesday.
